Jacob Witting, a widowed farmer who is still saddened by the death of his wife during childbirth several years before, finds that the task of taking care of his farm and two children, Anna and Caleb, is too difficult to handle alone. He writes an ad in the newspaper for a Mail-order bride. Sarah Wheaton, from Maine, answers his ad and travels out to become his wife. Little does he know Sarah is an unconventional woman of her time, and very different from his
former wife.

Truvy’s Beauty Salon, where you will find the following ladies: Annelle; Truvy’s eager new assistant, Truvy; owner of the salon, and the one who always gives free advice to the town’s rich curmudgeon, Ouiser; an eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee; who has a raging sweet tooth, M’Lynn; the local social leader, whose daughter, Shelby; is about to marry a “good ole boy.” Come experience the laughter and tears with these unique characters.

Join us this December as Cinderella’s dream comes true.

Minor Characters
These may be men or women or a child for the paperboy and may be doubled.
This is a good opportunity for those wishing to get started acting.

Ephraim (Eppie)…a paperboy
Howie (Hettie)…a postman
Eben (Esther).a coachman
Levi (Laurey)…a stationmaster
Mr. (Miss) Titus…a farmer
Chester (Hester) Upshaw…a salesman
Judson Moffet…a neighbor of the Wittings

 There will be a few folk songs for a few cast members which are done acapella. Adult Anna may need to do a verse or two alone.

 Rehearsals will start January 5th and will be 3 times a week. If your character is not in the scene, you will not have to be there until full runs.
January: Sunday 2-4, Tuesday 7-9, Thur. 7-9
February: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 7-9
March: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday to the 15th which will be tech week.
During tech week we will rehearse Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, off Wednesday and a preview performance will be on Thursday at 7 PM.

 Performances are 3-20-19 to 4-5-19 Friday and Saturday at 7 PM with Sunday Matinees at 2 PM.
There will be a special Saturday performance on March 28th. Actors call will be earlier.
